Where does the name come from?

Frog dog Herbs is named after Boingo “the dog…..who sat like a frog”. In 1991 Boingo, a Black Lab/Rottweiler mix was found at the pound. She turned out to be more than just a dog, but the kind of friend we all hope to have. In 2005 Boingo passed away after 15 years of good living and making friends wherever she went. With that Boingo “the dog…..who sat like a frog” was immortalized as the mascot for the Frog Dog Herbs line of products. As a tribute to Boingo’s continuous love and friendship Frog Dog Herbs donates to Best Friends Animal Society.

Here's the Boss

Frog Dog Herbs is a family run business started by Jan Bruce in 2005. Throughout the years Jan had compiled recipes for several Herb and Spice blends as well as different Rubs and Spreads. She started packaging these products and selling them at local Farmer’s Markets in Los Angeles. With several years of success at Farmer’s Markets she decided to bring in her daughter and son-in-law (Kellye Bruce and Michael Morrison) to help with consumer demand and product expansion. Currently located in the historic Atwater Village, of Los Angeles, Frog Dog Herbs can be found in various specialty shops, retail markets, Southern California Farmer’s Markets and now the internet. We thank-you and hope you enjoy “Spicing up life…..One dish at a time”.
